Saving money might seem like an easy task, but let us tell you, it’s not! It requires a lot of planning, sacrifice, self-control, and patience. Most people fail at saving money because they lack one or more of these qualities. If you don’t start saving early, you won’t have enough time to let your money grow, and you’ll end up behind in your financial goals.

Here are 10 easy tips to save money

To make things easier for you, in this article, we will be discussing 10 easy tips to save money faster. So you can work on your financial goals and be prepared for anything life throws your way.

1. Make a budget:

The most important step in saving money is to make a budget and stick to it. You need to know where your money is going before you can start saving it. Track your spending for at least a month so that you have a good idea of where your money goes. If you find it hard to follow a certain budget, feel free to make changes and adjustments until you find a system that works for you.

2. Set savings goals:

Once you know where your money is going, you need to set some savings goals. Make sure these goals are realistic and achievable. Having unrealistic goals will only discourage you from saving money. Set goals like buying a house, a car, or going on a dream vacation.

3. Automate your savings:

Some of the best ways to save money in the long term are to automate your savings. This means you will set up a direct deposit from your paycheck into your savings account. This way, you won’t even have to think about transferring money into your savings account every month. The less you have to think about saving, the more likely you will do it.

4. Cut back on unnecessary expenses:

If you want to save money, you need to be willing to cut back on some of your expenses. This doesn’t mean you have to give up everything you enjoy, but it does mean being more mindful of your spending. For example, if you’re used to eating out for lunch every day, try packing a lunch from home, this can save you a lot of money over time.

5. Use cash instead of credit:

Another way to save money is to use cash instead of credit. When you use cash, you’re more aware of your spending because you can physically see the money leaving your hands. Credit cards make it easy to spend money without really thinking about it. If you’re trying to save money, use cash as much as possible.

6. Invest in yourself:

Another great way to save money is to invest in yourself. This means taking courses, learning new skills, or starting your own business. When you invest in yourself, you’re increasing your earning potential, which can help you save more money in the long run.

7. Create an emergency fund:

An emergency fund is a must-have for anyone who wants to save money. This fund is used for unexpected expenses, like a car repair or medical bill. Having an emergency fund can help you avoid going into debt when something unexpected comes up. And let’s say, an emergency didn’t show up, the fund can be used for your long-term savings goals.

Whether it is a retirement plan or investing in stocks, mutual funds, or other securities, investing is one of the best ways to save money. Investing allows you to grow your money without having to do any extra work. Make sure to do your research before investing because investing does come with some risks.

Web Hosting: if you just start blogging I recommend you to get a Bluehost since they are easy to set up and quite cheap. The price started at US$2.95* but if you plan to scale up your website in the future, I prefer Cloudways more because Couldways works better once you get high traffic to your website. you can switch plans easily as well and they also offer a free trial with no credit card required

Domain Name: Most of my websites bought domain names from Namecheap, I did some research before I bought them and most domain names from Namecheap are cheaper than other websites.

WordPress Speed Plugin: I currently using this plugin and I’m really happy with the result. WP Rocket speeds up my website to rank a good score. Highly recommend!

WordPress Theme & plugin: For some of you who prefer to use a theme for your website, personally I like ThemeForest (my website uses a theme from here) but in case you are looking for other options such as themes, landing pages, funnels, including creating your own online courses please check out ThriveThemes

Email Marketing Service: Currently I’m using GetRespond which is easy to use and you can sign up for a 30-day free trial. The cheapest plan stat at only US$19. No credit card require so if you don’t want to use the service after the free trial period ends, you are good to go.

Graphic Design: If you don’t have graphic design skills I recommend using Canva Pro. They have so many templates which are easy to use and it only costs you US$9.95 a month.

Stock Photography: I recommend using 123RF or Depositphotos. Both sites offer good-quality photos. For Depositphotos, their plan starts at US$9.99 per month for a 1-year subscription.
